Tarot for Creatives events are small in size and aim to develop a sense of community via individual participation. Even our guided meditation events allow time at the end for members to share and interact with one another.

A few expectations to know before you join us:

Arrive on time; no one will be permitted past the first 5 minutes for meditation events and 15 minutes for all other events

Be camera ready; we are a small group that aims to hold a space of trust. We warmly welcome newcomers to participate—not to watch us anonymously.

We welcome all levels of meditators, writers, and tarot readers—from beginner to professional—and activities are designed accordingly. Those new to any of these activities will receive ample support.

What to expect?

This will be a super casual writing workshop and is best for anyone who just wants to get writing and/or would like to deepen their relationship to the tarot through writing. And of course it will be an opportunity to connect with other tarot readers and writers.

The basic format for our Writing Workshops?

Given a tarot card, and an optional additional writing prompt, we will free-write for ten minutes and then share what we wrote. And then we will repeat this until we are out of time.

What type of writing will we be doing?

That's totally up to you. Free writing can be a simple stream of conscious block of writing, or it could turn out to be a poem, a journal entry, flash fiction or any other short form genre of writing you could think of. The key is to just write whatever comes to you without stopping.

Do I have to share my writing?

Participation is mandatory at all of our events, so, yes, you will need to share something from each ten minute writing period though you don't need to share every word of what you wrote if you don't want to. We can even explore "creative reading" together if that is of interest to the people who attend.

Do I need a tarot deck?

Yes, please have at least one tarot deck on hand. It will be much easier to read from a tarot card in front of you than from a tarot card held up on screen.

Only the guided meditation portions of these events are made available to the public for free on YouTube or for a small fee in mp3 format. Due to the personal nature of what members share during events, group recordings are made available only to the host and guest speakers for their records.

Except for Tarot Meditation, all tarot events will require that you have your own tarot deck to use during the event. No experience using it is required.
