Tarot Blog Hop:
Lammas 2023 Master List

Blessed Lammas! My name is Kimberly and I am the wrangler for this tarot blog hop celebrating Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh. What follows is the guidance I gave our hoppers.

Topic: Where are we going?

For this year's Lammas Hop, I propose the topic of Where are we going? To me the connection to the harvest season feels clear but I was feeling a bit of writer’s block (perfectionism really) in writing out an explanation. Not wanting to delay this invite any longer, I decided to put the question to the ai bot at openai and got the text below. Rest assured, I won’t be using the bot to write my post, but I think it generated a decent prompt. Hope it sparks something in you!

The blog post topic of "where are we going?" and the pagan Sabbath of Lammas are intricately connected, as they both revolve around themes of reflection, harvest, and the cyclical nature of life. Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, marks the halfway point between the summer solstice and the autumn equinox, traditionally celebrated on August 1st. This harvest festival holds deep significance for pagans and Wiccans, symbolizing the first fruits of the Earth's bounty and the gratitude for the abundance provided by nature. Similarly, the question of "where are we going?" prompts us to pause and assess our direction in life, to evaluate our goals and aspirations, and to contemplate the choices we make. It urges us to reflect upon the lessons learned from our past experiences and to harness the energy of the present moment, much like the act of reaping the rewards of our labor during the harvest season. Both Lammas and the exploration of our path forward encourage us to recognize the interconnectedness of our lives with the natural world and to align ourselves with the rhythms and cycles of the Earth. By embracing the essence of Lammas and pondering the question of "where are we going?" we gain an opportunity to celebrate our achievements, cultivate gratitude, and make conscious choices that align with our true purpose as we navigate the ever-changing journey of life.
